Q: What was the hardest part about writing the book?
A: In the book, the main character and her grandmother are very close and together they have to deal with a devastating diagnosis. This was a situation inspired by my own grandmother and I wrote those scenes with tears streaming down my face. It was very difficult for me to deal with some of those feelings.
Q: Can we expect any more books from you in the future?
A: Absolutely! I have many new stories percolating around in my brain. The challenge is always which one wants to be told first. Right now I’m finishing up a short story that builds on my Castle Mountain Lodge Series, and then I may start another Castle Mountain Lodge book, or a totally different stand alone title.
Q: Have you always enjoyed writing?
A: From the time I was in grade two or three, I’ve been writing stories. I was fortunate to have teachers in my life that encouraged me and helped me develop my craft. I took some time off of writing while I was in University, due to a variety of reasons. But ever since I started again, I know now that I won’t stop.
Q: What writing are you most proud of?
