Review: Chasing the Lost by Bob Mayer

Chasing the LostChasing the Lost by Bob Mayer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Does the conflict serve the interest of the story? I would think that the conflict is about Horace coming to the rescue of Sarah while he is coming to terms with his terms. I say "coming to terms" because I think he doesn't really want to retire. The conflict does serve the interest of the story and Mayer's writing style is easy to understand.

Did the book end the way you expected? Not at all. At first, the plot seemed pretty straightforward and then it kept turning, and I kept guessing. However, it must be said Mayer does not stray from his "mission". Neither does Horace.

What did you like about the whole book – I haven't read all the books in the Green Beret series so I can't say this is the best book in the series. I can say that is one of the best books I have read in 2013. It was a lot like watching NCIS, the emotional ups and downs coupled with action. Superb.
