If you could have a dinner party and invite anyone dead or alive, who would you ask?
Moses. What was it like to see the Red Sea part? or witness any of those other plaques? Or I wouldn’t mind seeing Lazarus. I’d ask him how it felt to rise from the dead and walk out with the mummy wrapping still about him? He’d been dead a few days, how did it feel right after he got up?
When you are not writing, how do you like to relax?
Watch a movie.
Do you have any tips on how writers can relax?
Walk your dog, or sit back and watch a good movie. And of course, reading is very relaxing. It transports you into another world and you forget all your stress and problems for a while.
How often do you write? And when do you write?
A little everyday. Any time I can catch, snatches here and there.
Do you have an organized process or tips for writing well? Do you have a writing schedule?
A thousand words a day would be nice, but alas, there are thieves in my life. They steal my time, and rob me of precious moments that I could use to write.
Sometimes it’s so hard to keep at it – What keeps you going?
Have you met any people in the industry who have really helped you?
I went to the bootcamp conducted by Jerry B Jerkins of the Left Behind fame. The other established authors there like James Scott Bell and DiAnne Mills and Doc Hensley were very helpful in imparting their knowledge and tips, but for the most part I am on my own. I do have a couple of editors helping me so that’s useful.
Books written in blood. Most are lost, their Keepers with them. A curse that befell a people. A Kingdom with no King. Life couldn’t get more harrowing for the Elfies, a blend of Elves and Fairies. Or for sixteen-year-old Jules Blaze. Or could it?
For Jules, the heir of a Keeper, no less, suspects his family hides a forgotten secret. It was bad enough that his people, the Elfies of Reign, triggered a curse which reduced the entire inhabitants to a mere inch centuries ago. All because of one Keeper who failed his purpose. Even the King’s Ancient Books, did not help ward off that anathema.
Now, Gehzurolle, the evil lord, and his armies of Scorpents, seem bent on destroying Jules and his family. Why? Gehzurolle’s agents hunt for Jules as he journeys into enemy land to find the truth. Truth that could save him and his family, and possibly even reverse the age-long curse. Provided Jules doesn’t get himself killed first.
