Review: Serving Time by Nadine Ducca

Serving Time (Timemakers Trilogy, #1)Serving Time by Nadine Ducca
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Which secondary character resonated most with you and why? When I put this book away, the only character that stays in my head is Robert. Time was confusing to me. She was up, down and all over the place. I would have liked a little more inner strength from her but I think for some readers, it her flaws that will become an attraction to them.

How do you define the central theme in this story. Wow. This is one story that has many sub-plots. You have many different things happening at the same time but what is central for all characters is the fact that they are on some kind of search or journey to reinvent / discover themselves which I hope receives closure at the end.

What did you think of the ending? This is the problem when you have so many sub-plots running all over the place. Which do you resolve first and how do you tie it in all together? When we started noticing the multiple plots, many of us were asking this and started to wonder. We were not wrong. In her attempt to tie things together, the ending became a little messy and while this may be encouragment for some readers to pick up the next book in the series, I'm not entirely certain I will.
