What contributes to making a writer successful? I think the one thing that makes a writer successful is writing what you like. If you truly enjoy what you are writing it will always be a success. Always write for yourself and the accolades will follow.
Will you write others in this same genre? I will write many more books in this genre. I truly can’t shut my brain off especially when it comes to coming up with ideas for my stories.
How important do you think villains are in a story? I think villians are very important to most stories. I know my villian is one of the main characters in “Time Killer”. The story evolves around him.
Tell us about your family. I am father of 4. My oldest is my only son he is 21 now. I have 3 girls 19,13,and 9. I have been married to my beautiful wife Courtney for 3 years. Not my first marriage but definitely the best. She has been there through all of the hard work for the book. I have great imagination when it comes to the story but the background and detail is all her. She helped me out so much.
What genre are you most comfortable writing? I am most comfortable writing mystery because I have a great imagination. My wife hates watching shows like SVU and CSI with me because I am really good at solving who did what and why.
When and why did you begin writing? I started writing at a very young age. I wrote stories in school and in seventh grade I actually wrote my first book. It wasn’t very long but it was a murder mystery. The Junior HIgh Murders was the title. I didn’t get a good grade on it because my teacher thought it was too gory for her. I have always been interested in mysteries because of my natural investigative mind.
