Review: Sex and Death in the American Novel by Sarah Martinez

Sex and Death in the American NovelSex and Death in the American Novel by Sarah Martinez
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

How does the setting figure into the book? The book has several different settings. The author has a way with words, I felt transported to each place.

What are some of the book's themes? Smut in great literature. Acceptance of self. I personally would never have believed smut in great literature would make an interesting read. I am proud to state that this is a book that belongs on a to read list for everyone.

Did the book end the way you expected? Until I was almost at the end I honestly did not know how it would end. I kept flip-flopping ideas in my head about the ending. Enjoyed the ending.

Disclosure: I received a review copy of this book from the author.
