Who is your favorite author? Since I love to read an eclectic mix of genres, I don’t have just one favorite author. How could you? Tom Clancy, Dean Koontz, Kimberla Lawson Roby, Mary Higgins Clark, and Alex Haley are just a few of my favorites.
What book genre of books do you adore? I adore books and reading in general, not just a specific genre. So, I’ll read most any genre: mystery, crime, thriller, horror, African-American or multi-cultural, chick lit, SciFi, Shakespeare, autobiographies, classics, and even some historical, westerns, romance, and memoirs.
Are there any books you really don’t enjoy? No, I adore books and reading in general, and my tastes are all over the place. So, I haven’t found any particular genre yet that I haven’t enjoyed at least one book I’ve read in that genre.
Location and life experiences can really influence writing, tell us where you grew up and where you now live? Currently, I live in Maryland with my husband and two sons. I grew up in Kansas City (MO and KS), and I’ve lived in New York (NYC, Troy, and Rochester); Pasadena, CA; Phoenix, AZ, and New Zealand. Each place adds a little influence to my writing.
How did you develop your writing? I enjoy writing about what I see in reality or crazy worlds I dream about. Then I read others for enjoyment and to keep growing and honing my craft.
